Building a Positive Mindset: Keys to a better relationship with self

It’s easy to go about our day saying things about our bodies and ourselves without even knowing that they are negative. The ways that we talk about ourselves are usually ways in which we would never speak to our closest friends. But we have become so accustomed to being hard on ourselves; from the things we do to how our body looks, it has become just a normal everyday occurrence. The thing that we don’t realize is how damaging they can actually be. The negative things we say to ourselves are called Toxic Thoughts and beliefs and they are just as damaging to us (and our daily lives) as any junk food or harmful ingredients. Allowing ourselves to continue to hold on to these toxic thoughts and beliefs can drain our emotional energy, personal power, and our dignity. In this workshop, we will discuss why our thoughts and beliefs around ourselves can be toxic and how to pinpoint them. We will also discuss the practice of building a more positive mindset by learning how to shift our perspective on ourselves to uncover our true potential.
